Apprentice Spotlight
At Redhead Salon Boutique we are very proud of our apprentice program! We currently have three apprentices here in the salon: Lucy, Jena and El. They were kind enough to sit down and answer some questions about themselves and their experience as an apprentice.
Q: What is your favorite hairstyle?
- Lucy: I love asymmetrical hairstyles.
- Jena: I’d say red hair or beachy curls.
- El: Loose curls, beachy look.
Q: What is your favorite color trend right now?
- Lucy: I love fall hair colors!
- Jena: I’m a fan of any fashion colors or red hair.
- El: I really like the balayage look.
Q: Favorite place to relax
- Lucy: I would have to say my home.
- Jena: Definitely Savages.
- El: At home, in my bed.
Q: Dream vacation
- Lucy: I don’t have one!
- Jena: I’d be fine with anywhere not in the United States.
- El: Bora Bora, or something like that.
Q: How do you feel about the apprentice program at Redhead?
- Lucy: It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the hair industry!
- Jena: It’s great, a great learning experience! Everyday I feel like I learn something new.
- El: I really like it I’ve learned a lot from it so far.
Q: How would you describe a day in the life of an apprentice?
- Lucy: I just started three days ago, but I know we stay busy!
- Jena: We are very busy. I clean a lot and am always looking for ways to keep the salon running properly.
- El: We are very busy, we always have to stay on top of things.
Q: What prior experiences do you feel prepared you most for your apprenticeship with Redhead?
- Lucy: My schooling at Amber’s Beauty School.
- Jena: I worked at Hair by Bennie and Friends down in Louisville, Kentucky, I did an apprenticeship down there as well. It really helped to prepare me for work at Redhead.
